Ubar Grotto is proud to announce their support of H.A.R.D.’s participation in the Capital 10 Miler, a charity run for the arts held in Harrisburg, PA, on April 1, 2012. This is the second year for this event and we are happy to be assisting the women of Harrisburg Area Roller Derby in their efforts to bring emphasis to the arts in the Central Pennsylvania Region.
Ubar Grotto has agreed to pay half of the entrance fee for up to ten members of Harrisburg Area Roller Derby, who have been permitted to skate the course rather than run it. As further proof of support, Ubar also voted to give H.A.R.D. a secondary donation to be made directly to the cause.
Not to be outdone, two of the officers of Ubar Grotto agreed to run the race themselves – Pro. David Labagh, Venerable Prophet, and Pro. George Hindson, Chief Justice, are registering for the race on behalf of Ubar. Thankfully, several members of Ubar are employed in the emergency response and medical fields, so when our runners collapse from exertion, they will be well taken care of!
We hope to see you on race day!
