With Autumn Day now right around the corner, the members of Ubar Grotto have just received the first of the promotional items that we will be giving out at the Ubar booth that day.
When the idea of a promotional product was first brought up, the members tossed around many options. These included:
- Grow your own devil horns.
- CD’s of our members singing at our meetings.
- Face veils with an Ubar logo on them.
- Bobble heads of our Sentinel holding the Ubaritar.
(These are all in jest, of course!) However, we did come up with one good idea – wristbands! Pro. David Labagh, our Venerable Prophet, took the lead on the project and came up with a yellow wristband printed with “Real Men Wear Fezzes.” It was thought that this slogan and color would not only appeal to potential Grotto members, but perhaps to Shriners as well.
The wristbands will be available for free at our booth at Autumn Day on this coming Saturday – September 17, 2011.
We have also kept a supply that will be available to purchase by anyone who would like one. They will cost $1.00 ea., plus shipping (we will ship to anywhere in the lower 48.) Once we get through this weekend, we’ll post details on how to order yours.
But, you could save yourself money (and have a good time) by stopping by to see us on Saturday!
